BEEF STROGANOFF

1 white onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced

2-3 Tbsp. olive oil

2 lbs. round steak or sirloin, cubed and floured

2 cans beef consomme

1 8 oz. sour cream

Salt and pepper to taste.

 

DIRECTIONS: 

Saute mushrooms and onion in olive oil, set aside. Brown steak. (A small amount of olive oil may need to be added). Add mushrooms and onion to steak. Mix beef consomme and sour cream together, add to steak, mushrooms and onion. Simmer until steak is tender, approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour. Serve over rice or buttered noodles. Serves 6.
