DATE NUT BALLS

½ cup Oleo Margarine

1 8oz. Pkg. Chopped dates

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups Rice Krispies

2 cups Pecans

1 cup flaked coconut

Combine first five ingredients and cook over low heat about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat. Add cereal, pecans and coconut. Mix well. Shape into balls and roll in additional coconut on wax paper. Freezes well.
