DAVE’S DRESSING

 

1 pone of cornbread (8 or 9 inch skillet of cornbread)

6 HOMEMADE  biscuits (not canned)

2 or 3 slices of white bread

4 stalks of celery, chopped

1-1/2 large sweet onion, chopped

1 stick butter

4 to 5 cans chicken broth

3 eggs, beaten slightly

Salt

Pepper

Poultry seasoning to taste

 

Melt butter in skillet.  Add celery and onion and cook on medium to low heat until done.  Set aside to cool.  Crumble cornbread, biscuits and white bread in large bowl.  Add cooked vegetables and salt, pepper and poultry seasoning.   Stir in chicken broth until consistency of cake batter or a little thinner.  Add eggs and mix lightly.  Pour into large baking pan or pyrex dish and bake in 350 deg  oven until done.  A knife will come out clean when done.
