EASY APPLE  PIE

 

6 medium apples, pared, cored, sliced  (about 2-1/2 lbs.)

 

(can use Golden Delicious, Rome or Winesap apples)

 

Place prepared apples in long casserole (pyrex) dish.

 

Pour 1-1/2 cups sugar mixed with 1/3 cup flour, ½ tsp. cinnamon, ¼ tsp. nutmeg, pinch of salt, over the apples in dish.  Dot with 6 tbsp. butter (oleo).

 

Cut a bought refrigerated pie crust in sections to place on top of apples.  Can brush top of  pie crust with milk and sprinkle sugar on top.

 

Bake at 375 Deg. For one hour.
