NUT LOAF CANDY

4 cups sugar

2 egg whites

1½ cups white syrup

½ cup boiling water

1 cup nuts

Vanilla

Cook sugar, syrup and water to soft ball stage when tested in water. Add to egg whites which have been beaten until stiff. Beat until cold. Add flavoring and nuts. Pour on waxed paper which has been sprinkled with powdered sugar. Candy will be about the consistency of soft dough. Knead like dough and shape into rolls. Put in refrigerator and when it is firm, slice.
