ELSIE’S DATE NUT LOAF
1 lb. stoned dates
1 lb. shelled English walnuts (2 lbs. unshelled)
1 cup flour sifted with ½ tsp. baking powder.
(Sift
over fruit and nuts.)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter,
melted
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Chop dates and nuts, sift flour over them. Mix other
ingredients and add to them.
Bake in well-greased loaf pan at 300 deg. for one hour
or until done.
