Laura's Waldorf Salad
 
2      cups diced red apples
1/2   cup thinly sliced celery
1/2   cup diced Granny Smith Apples
1/2   cup broken walnuts
1/4   cup mayonnaise, or use 1/4 cup plain  
        or vanilla yogurt.
1      tablespoon sugar
1/2   teaspoon lemon juice
        Dash of Salt
1/2   cup whipping cream or cool whip

Combine apples, celery and nuts. Blend mayonnaise, sugar, lemon juice, and

salt. Fold in whipped cream; fold in apple mixture and chill.

 

Tip for preparing apples:

Rinse apples as you would any fruit. To prevent from browning when slicing

apples for any recipe, simply put slices in a bowl of cold water to which a

spoon full of lemon juice has been added
